Low Corporation Tax attracts McAfee

Emigrant.ie has an interesting article on McAfee.
It seems that the US anti-virus software company McAfee is to relocate its European headquarters from Amsterdam to either Dublin or Cork, with the possibility of up to 100 new jobs here.
Discussions with IDA Ireland are already underway, while the company’s Netherlands staff were reportedly informed of the move last week.
It’s understood that Ireland’s competitive 12.5% corporate tax rate is the main incentive behind the decision – the Dutch rate is 34% – with analysts suggesting that there are concrete savings to be made in locating the office and certain functions here.
Our low rate of corporation tax is a very sore point with some of our EU neighbours
